Portland BES had a large plant die off at one of their waste water treatment plants. John was asked to come investigate what the problem with the soil was and how it could be fixed. The soil was found to be low in organics and carbon, critical elements for sustaining plant life.

A biochar compost blend was used alongside Biotope™. The goal of these products was to add carbon, organics, and microbial life into the soil.
